Rachel was born and raised in Napa Valley, CA and bleeds a robust vintage of cabernet sauvignon. She discovered her passion for art and design early in life and She earned her B.S. degree in Architecture from the Catholic U. of America in 2008. After a year of wandering the U.S. of A. like a professional drifter, she was ready to re-focus her professional aspirations and is currently on track toward acquiring her M. Architecture through the U. of Oregon's Option II program. Her interests are many and they each inform her design process in different ways. She is particularly compelled by design solutions which integrate collaborative efforts, a vernacular language, and appropriate technology to aid the the under-served and vulnerable. When not in studio, she takes pleasure in bikes, basketball, cookies, and the occasional dance party.
